New Nokia Lumia 1020 " Nothing Gets This Close"

It’s official now – the much anticipated Nokia Lumia 1020 has (finally) been announced by Nokia and the smart phone does feature an impressive 6-lens PureView 41 megapixel camera!
The new Windows 8 phone sports a list of other impressive specifications including a Clear Black 4.5-inch AMOLED PureMotion HD+ screen (1280x768), a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor supported by a 2GB RAM. The Lumia 1020 also features 32GB of internal memory – one wonders whether that will be enough to hold the photos taken from the 41MP camera.

But the focus of the Nokia Lumia 1020 remains the ultra-powerful camera and it will be quite some time before another manufacturer will be able to come up with a smartphone offering a camera this powerful. The camera is able to 34 and 38 megapixel photos in 16:9 or 4:3 and comes with Image Stabilisation. Since images as big cannot be shared via social media, there is also the ability to take a smaller image (5MP) simultaneously! Not only this, the zoom on the Lumia 1020 is equally impressive as is the video recording. The smartphone can record 1080p at 30fps (frames per second) and comes with great audio recording too.
There are two camera apps – the Pro Camera and the Smart Camera – in the Nokia Lumia 1020. The default app, Pro Camera, lets you manually operate the camera: pinch to zoom, touch to focus etc. The Smart Camera on the other hand gives advanced options like adjusting facial expressions, motion blur, picking the best shot and taking several photos in succession of the same subject.
All in all, the Nokia Lumia 1020 has raised the bar and competitors – smartphone and camera manufacturers – will find it hard to catch up with technology that seems to be the best media creation kit to their pockets!

The 30 second clip shows two Baseball agents holding tablets and are looking at signing a new player for their teams.

The agent with the Windows 8 tablet was able to view all the latest stats in few clicks and keep his chat on whilst the other agent with the iPad struggles from viedo calling and checking stats due to lack of proper multi-tasking.
